I had read this book before and somewhere in a move has lost it. I remember feeling bad for amy, as sick as that may sound, but she was such a young mislead girl who was listening to a much older man. I'm not saying that she is innocent(far from it) but she was definitely over run by joey and did everything he said. I also feel bad for mrs. buttafucco (sp). the whole story is sad. I believe amy though and think that joey is a liar. the book is worth a read.

If you followed the Fisher/Buttafuoco case in the 1990s, you know all you need to know. Fisher was a spoiled brat who blames her father for everything, and Joey was her outlaw hero, whom anyone but a dope would have known was trouble. Fisher thinks she deserves sympathy, but she exhibits no believable remorse for showing Mary Jo Buttafuoco in the head, changing her life, and her family's forever. This is like reading a teenager's diary.
I see Amy's written a quickie, doubtlessly blaming her father, Joey, or drugs, or all three. Don't fall for her BS.
The thing about this book, is, Fisher tries to come across as someone
with more knowledge about why people act the way they do, than she actually has.
Frustrating read.
I read this book overnight. I could not put it down. Great read
Amy Fisher tells the story of her romance with Joey Buttafuoco and definetly tells it ALL. From how they met to the secret trysts they had it really gets in depth. I definetly couldnt stop reading it.

I read it when I was 16 and just wanted to read it again
With Amy and I sharing a first name and age, I was always fascinated with this story. After 3 movies with different view points, 1 media viewpoint book, 1 book in young Amy's viewpoint, 1 book from a seemingly normal Amy's viewpoint and 1 book from Mary Jo's viewpoint there is only 1 viewpoint left and that's Joey. With him ever unable to tell a second's worth of truth, it isn't worth it. A book of the actual truth from all sides would be so worth it.
